Class 1 children have started learning about fractions. This week they are exploring halves. They engaged in some fun, practical activities that helped them understand what a half is.

Class 3 explored the middle course of the Camel River. They were geographers, scientists and mathematicians as they measured the width, depth and flow of the river and explored the abundance of nature including birdsong, flowers and frogs!

We have enjoyed gymnastics in Class 3, learning about different body positions whilst using apparatus to help us develop our skills. Lots of fun with the ropes and wall bars.

How was Leonardo Da Vinci a creative genius? Class 2 stepped into the shoes of the great visionary this week when they immersed themselves in the many varying and interesting talents that Da Vinci was a master of.

Class 1 launched their new Enquiry by learning about their visionary, Luke Howard, The Namer of Clouds. They then sketched the clouds just as he used to.

Over the last few days the Tintagel Tribe has planted nearly 100 trees in the school grounds! With special thanks to the @TreeAppeal , we are so proud to be part of their aim to create wildlife habitats, combat climate change and make a greener world.

A huge thank you to all the parents and staff that came to school last weekend to help us overhaul some of our outdoor spaces. The science garden has changed drastically in a short space of time, although isn’t quite finished yet.

After considering the three different types of rocks beneath our feet, Class 3 explored the characteristics of different rocks and soils. Using our scientific equipment they explored how permeable rocks were and then how durable they were by using nails to scrape across them.
